The client, a leading global specialty bio-pharmaceutical company wanted their boardroom in the UK to emulate that of their parent company head office in the US. The boardroom had to have a similar look and feel to ensure that senior executives visiting from the US felt at ease and comfortable, yet needed to maintain a subtle air of individuality to symbolise the dynamic nature of the european marketplace
the challenge
Comprising of a large boardrooom table, AV wall and matching credenzas our brief was to encapsulate the essence of the US boardroom yet provide the individual traits so important to the European Management Team.
our solution
We designed a 5 metre barrel-shaped table in cherry with fine ebony inlays surrounding maple inserts. The table itself could seat 18 comfortably and was provided with power and data points built in to the table along with numerous microphones for the video conferencing. The AV wall featured dual plasma screens, a whiteboard and electronically operated projector screen, contained all the cabling required and even contained a small cloak room to ensure that the boardroom was maintained clutter free and efficient.
The three credenzas enabled our client to have one in the main boardroom which contained a mini-fridge for chilled refreshments and essential storage and the two in the adjacent ante room were more than large enough to cater for all manner of refreshments and meals for boardroom attendees.
